Boys Basketball gets First win Under Coach Haverdink

New coach, new ideas, new players, and a new line up. That was the story line on Tuesday night going into Hamilton’s dominating performance versus Allegan.

The Hawkeyes won on the backs of senior Elijah Walker, who made some big shots while leading Hamilton in scoring with 18 points in their 62-39 victory and junior Grant Wolfram, who made some key defensive plays and added 11 points as well.

The Hawkeyes looked strong both offensively and played a physical brand of defense in their first win of the season and first win ever under first year coach Brent Haverdink. Hamilton also saw contributions from all 14 players on the team, with everyone getting into the game and seeing playing time.

Hamilton’s next game will be at home on Friday as they take on Hopkins, as the hawkeyes look for their second win of the season.
