Hamilton Boys Basketball moves to 3-1 on Season With Win

This Friday the Hamilton boys basketball team ended their Christmas break with a 70-60 victory over Thornaple-Kellogg.

The first quarter for Hamilton was dominated by Elijah Walker who had 9 points including a 3 pointer to enable the Hawkeyes to jump out to a 15-13 lead.

The second quarter was very slimier to the first with TK keeping the game close and tying the game up three times, but each time the Hawkeyes answered and never once surrendered the lead. Hamilton ended the half with a 33-28 lead.

From then on, the Hawkeyes pulled away by scoring 25 points in the third quarter including six straight points from senior Conner Davis as Hamilton led 58-45 at the end of the quarter.

In the fourth quarter TK would make up some ground on the Hamilton lead, but never get it down to single digits as Hamilton won 70-60 and 3-1 on the season.

The Hawkeyes were lead in scoring by seniors Elijah Walker with 19 points while Conner Davis and Dylan Buresh both added 14.

Hamilton’s next game will be a home double-header against Wayland, with the girls starting at 6 and the boys starting at 7:15.
