Hawkeyes In College Part I

Our job at Covering Hawkeye Sports is to cover athletes’ achievements during their athletic careers. What you may not know is some of these students ,and former student athletes, do amazing things not only during competition but outside of sports as well.

Andrew Degood, a 2010 graduate from Hamilton High, is now a senior at Trine University. He played Baseball for Hamilton all four years, and is starting his fourth and Senior year at Trine as Captain of his Baseball team. Andrew is majoring in business with an emphasis in sports management and has made the Dean’s List the last two semesters.  He’s also been invited to join the National Honors Society and is in the process of applying to graduate schools for sports management programs. Andrew has also been accepted at Eastern Michigan University.  He has approximately a 3.1 GPA and is a member of Trine’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes group. Andrew also has a job at the local YMCA and has done everything from organizing and leading summer kids programs, to life guarding. He also gives several tours to high school students visiting Trine’s campus.

RJ Flowers graduated from Hamilton in 2011.  After graduation RJ continued his baseball career at Trine University. He has played a total of 30 games so far during his career. RJ is currently studying to be a Chemical Engineer.

Adam Littell, son of  Steve and Tonya Littell, was a diver here at Hamilton all four years of his high school career. After he graduated in 2013, Adam moved to Detroit and is now attending Wayne State University. Adam is diving for Wayne State and has recently qualified for Nationals in March. Outside of the pool, Adam is majoring in Kinesiology and he was recently named to the Coach’s Honor Roll for fall 2013.

Nathaniel white is a 2011 graduate from Hamilton High. He spent most of his high school days on the baseball field and was named an All-Conference-Region and All-State athlete. He is continuing his baseball career at IPFW Mastodons and is currently a junior. Off of the baseball field, Nate is majoring in Criminal Justice. He is the son of Shawn and Sondra White and has one sister named Jessica.
