Hamilton Battles Injuries, But Finishes Well at the Allegan Invite

On Saturday the Hamilton Cross Country teams were in action at the Allegan Invite. The conditions were sub-par with rain, sleet and a lot of mud. The boys team ran well to a third place finish. Caleb Topp lead the way with a time of 18:15. The Hawkeyes had their top runners, Mark Freyhof and Matt Field, sit out due to injuries, both are hoping to return by Wednesday.

On the girls side the Hawkeyes ran to a second place finish. Erika Freyhof finished second with a time of 19:46. Audrey Freyhof finished with a time of 21:04 and Jennica Schaffer was right behind with a time of 21:12. Hope Fathman continued to sit out with a leg injury.

The Hawkeyes will be at RidgePoint Church on Wednesday for a conference dual versus Unity Christian.
