This week Hamilton will take on the Holland Dutch in a conference matchup. Holland will enter the game at 3-4 on the year and with a win they will have a chance to keep their playoff hopes alive. Hamilton though is 2-5 and will be playing the role of spoiler this week. The Hawkeyes are coming off of a 66-37 loss to Unity Christian.
Pass Offense vs Holland
Hamilton’s pass offense struggled last week as they failed to score a touchdown in there tough loss. They have slowly become a one-dimensional offense, thanks to a strong running game throughout the year. Hamilton will need a big game though from the Hawkeye passing game to pull this one out.
Run Offense vs Holland
The Hawkeyes ran the ball a lot last week. Nate Pando carried the ball 41 times last week against Unity. Pando had 276 yards and carried the Hawkeye offense by scoring all five of their touchdowns. I would expect to see more of the same for the Hawkeyes this week as they have been very successful on the ground.
Run Defense vs Holland
Holland has one of the strongest rushing games in the conference, second only to Zeeland West. They are lead by Senior, Elroy Payne who rushed for 176 rushing yards and added two touchdowns in their loss to Zeeland West last week. Holland also have a dual threat quarterback in Demetrius Lake who threw for 148 passing yards and added 111 yards on the grounds.
Pass Defense vs Holland
Holland threw the ball only eight times last week, they are very similar to Hamilton as they have become one dimensional throughout the year thanks to a excellent running game. Hamilton’s secondary needs to be prepared throughout the game, as they have given up big plays all year.
Hamilton would need a big day offensively to beat Holland. The Hawkeye defense has struggled all year and Hamilton will need to put up at least 50 points to pull it out.. I don’t believe Hamilton’s offense will be able to keep up with Holland and the Hawkeyes will fall 42-27.
