Hamilton Drops Meet Between Ranked Opponents

Hamilton Swim and Dive took on Holland Christian on Tuesday.  The Maroons came into the meet ranked No. 4 and Hawkeyes ranked No. 5 in Division 3.  The Hawkeyes swam well, but fell short, losing 95-83. Coach Talsma said, “They come with more bodies and they have more girls who are doing the little things well.”

Stephanie Johnston won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 24.66 and the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:33.80. Rileigh Eding won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:01.92. Paige Kuhn, Kaitlyn Meiste, Stephanie Johnston, and Rileigh Eding won the 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:53.60.  On the diving side of things, Mikayla VanFleeren, won the 1-meter dive with a total of 216.45 points.

The Hamilton Swim and Dive team is back in action on Tuesday, October 14 at Hamilton as they take on Zeeland.
