Hamilton Girls Basketball Falls to 8-2 Crusaders

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Friday night the Hamilton girls basketball team traveled to Unity Christian High School. The Hawkeyes battled it out in the first quarter, but Unity took an early 13-10 lead. From that point on it was all Crusaders, taking a 26-17 lead into the half. “Unity Christian severely out rebounded us,” said forward Courtney Vande Vorde.

Unity Christian improves to 8-2 and 2-0 in the conference with the 36-57 victory. Hamilton falls to 5-7 and 1-2 in the OK Green.

Bethany Balcer scored 17 points, and added 7 assist. Jenna Bremer also had 10 for Unity.

Kendra Bott was the only Hawkeye to reach double figures, scoring 11.

Hamilton girls play Holland at home on Tuesday.
