Tonight’s the “Chuck Out” – Getting To Know Chuck Breuker

Getting to know Chuck Breuker

Chuck Breuker, Hamilton’s beloved janitor, is being honored at Hamilton’s home basketball game Friday night against the Unity Christian Crusaders. He grew up in Holland south of Graafschap. In his free time, he likes to farm a 40 acre plot of land where only half of it is tillable. When he was a kid, he never thought of himself in the position he’s currently in. He always imagined himself working with wood, and building things with wood. Chuck went to school at Hamilton, and now sends his son, Curtis, to his alma mater; so it is a big honor for him to be recognized by the student body like this. We asked him why he comes to the basketball games, “I like the spirit here, I love ‘H-Townstrong’, and mainly the people. It’s just so neat.” We also asked, “What does this place mean to you?”. “What we’re going to have Friday (the First Annual Chuck Out). That just blew my mind. I love it when the students and staff ask me to participate in things. I never dreamed when I started this job that I would end up having the kids really wanting me to take part.”
