HAMILTON, Mich. – Presley Hudson stole the show Tuesday leading the Wildcats with 25 points and the win over the Hawkeyes 74-35.

Wayland Union had a lot of contributions from other scorers as well as, Caroline Miller scored 13 points, Allie Cutler scored 12 points and Hope Dollarhide chipped in with 10 points. Hamilton’s Kendra Bott scored 13 points and Courtney VandeVorde added 9 points.

“Wayland is a great team,” said Coach VanHekken. “They have 4-5 shooters on the floor at any given time,” which was very evident with four players in double digit scoring.

Wayland led 35-21 at halftime. The Hawkeyes couldn’t catch up from there only scoring 14 points in the second half.
“They play at such a nice pace with high basketball IQ,” Coach VanHekken said. The Wildcat defense had their full court press on the entire game. “We could not match that type of play,” said VanHekken.
Wayland Union improves to (15-0) and the Hawkeyes move to (6-10).
