Hawkeye Volleyball Falls to Byron Center

HAMILTON, Mich.- On Tuesday, September 29, the Hamilton Hawkeye girls volleyball team lost 3-1 to the Byron Center Bulldogs.

The Hawkeyes had a rocky start to the match and were defeated in the first set 25-15.  They then capitalized in the second set winning 25-22 and then came close in the third set by losing 25-22.  The match was ended in the fourth set when the Bulldogs pulled away with the victory with a score of 25-16.

The Hawkeyes top players were Nicole Dekker with 7 kills and 6 blocks, followed by Britney VandeWege with 13 assists and 4 aces, along with Frannie Prins with 7 digs and 2 aces.

The Hawkeye girls volleyball team are now preparing for their next match at home against Zeeland West on October 6.
