A Look Into the Season of the Boys Varsity Soccer Team

The Hamilton Boys Soccer team had their best season ever in the history of their franchise, making it all the way to the district championship. Even though the team had a record of 6-14-1, they made it farther than any team before them in Hamilton history.

The team had their best win in the District Tournament Semi-Finals, where they beat Wayland 4-1. This made up for the 4-2 loss to Wayland earlier in the season and advanced them to the District Championship game. The Hawkeyes had their worst loss at Holland. The team was defeated 8-0 with a mercy rule in the first half. But, the Hawkeyes managed to shake it off and earn their way to the top of the district.

Since the season is over, the soccer team is losing most of their top players. They are losing their two captains, Raymund Johnson and Logan Sloan, as well as Ryan VanOss and Andrew Caswell on defense, and wing midfielder Jack Gilbert.

However, there are still younger players to look out for next season, like goalie Mikah Sengmany, Bryce Devries and Brady Gilbert.

I’ll just say that we were a very young team this season as a whole, and the positive finish to our season can, and will, move us forward in positive ways for our immediate future,” stated Coach Robinson.

We hope that the boys will have another great season next year, and maybe become the District Champions.
