The girls are looking good for state and this win brings the Hawkeye’s record to 4-1.

Senior Melinda Overbeek comments on going to state this year, “We have a pretty good chance of going to state this year! We have regionals against Zeeland West, Holland Christian, and Holland High on October 31. The top three schools get to go to state. If we run like we have this year, we have a very good chance.”

Next week Wednesday, the Girl’s Cross Country has their conference meet at 4:00 at Helder Park.
