Hamilton Boys Cross Country Wins the OK Green Conference Meet

HAMILTON, Mich. – The Hamilton Varsity Boys Cross Country team swept away the competition at their final OK Green conference meet with a score of 38 points.  The team ran at Helder Park in Zeeland, Michigan.  Senior, Mark Freyhof, won the meet with an impressive time of 16:12.77.  Another senior, Matt Field, placed fifth in the meet with a time of 17:03.65 followed by junior, Caleb Topp, in sixth place with a time of 17:04.91.  

This conference win was the boys team’s first championship in Hamilton history.  

Earning All-Conference honors last night for the team were Mark Freyhof, Caleb Topp, Matt Field, and Luke Koopman.  Also earning All-Conference honorable mention were Elliot Klingenberg and Trenton Peters.

The boys next meet will be the county meet on October 23 at Allegan where they hope to continue their undefeated record of five wins.
