Hamilton Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Zeeland West

By: Emma Jennings

HAMILTON, Mich. – The Hamilton girls varsity volleyball team lost a tough match to Zeeland West at home on October 6 with a score of zero to three.  The girls kept the score close during each set but failed to get the win in any of the three.

Senior, Frannie Prins, lead the team with 12 digs, along with junior, Joslyn Bronkhorst, with four kills, four digs, and two aces.

Coach Makenzie Branderhorst  gives some insight to the girls loss, “We played as one unit, and it kept us in the games.  Our defense really played well and kept balls off the floor.  We are getting more touches on balls that we normally didn’t.”

The girls’ next game will be Thursday, October 8 at Unity Christian where they hope to improve their losing record.
