Hamilton Volleyball falls to Unity Christian

On Thursday, October 8 the Hamilton Varsity Volleyball team competed against Unity Christian. The girls fought hard but unfortunately Unity came out on top with a score of 2-3.  Hamilton was victorious in the first and fourth match and stayed close with the Crusaders throughout the rest of the night. Leading players were Kambrea Sale with 12 kills and 4 blocks, Aly Dyke with 7 kills and 6 digs, and junior Nicole Dekker, with the team high, of 13 kills and 4.5 blocks.


“The girls played great again tonight and really battled in tough games and long rallies,” Coach Branderhorst says about the team’s performance.


The Hawkeyes are looking to get out of their losing streak and are playing harder each day and game. The volleyball team faces the Holland Dutch next Tuesday, October 13 and are looking for the win. Junior Aly Dyke comments on the game,”I’m excited to see how we play, I think we will be able to beat them again.
