BUCHANAN, Mich. – On Saturday, October 31, the Hamilton Boys Cross Country team took second at the Regional meet at Buchanan High School, making their record 5-0. Because of this finish, the men have qualified to compete in the State Meet for the first time in school history.

Mark Freyhof lead the team to their second place finish by finishing 2nd with a time of 16:31. Following Freyhof was Caleb Topp with 13th, Matt Field with 17th, and Luke Koopman with 18th. Also competing in the State meet are Trenton Peters, Elliott Klingenberg, and Cayden O’Brien.

“The boys team made school history by winning the conference and qualifying for State. This group of athletes is the hardest working and dedicated distance boys we have ever coached,” said Coach Pertner.
