Lady Hawks Start Off Strong

HAMILTON, Mich. – On Wednesday night, the Lady Hawks started off their season strong against Jenison. The Hawkeyes came up with a close win with a score of 30-27.

As the final score shows, this was a game of defense. Annaka Ediger led the Hawkeyes in scoring with 9 points.

Head coach, Dan VanHekken, stated, “I´m happy we came up with a win, but we didn’t put up as many points as I wanted to see.¨

However, the girls are confident going into their next game as they have been working on their offensive scheming to improve their scoring.

The Hawkeyes are away this Friday as they take on the Trojans at Thornapple-Kellogg at 7:00pm.
