HAMILTON, Mich. – Friday night the girls looked to establish themselves in the OK Green and move to 7-2 record on the season. The Hawkeyes held Unity to 13 points in the first half, giving Hamilton a 9 point lead at the half. Unity Christian did not go away quietly though, as they stormed back with 30 points in the second half, making the game very tight. Hamilton would find a way to hold off the Crusaders however, edging out a 47-43 victory.

The Hawkeyes were lead by a strong performance from junior guard Joslyn Bronkhorst. Bronkhorst had 12 points followed by Ashlen Wolfram’s 9.

Katina Goebel had 10 points to lead Unity Christian’s scoring attack.

The Hawkeyes are back in action Tuesday, January 19 when they face Allendale at home.
