It came down to the final to two matchups, as Hamilton got two huge pins from Connor DeJonge and Seth Buresh to complete the comeback.

In the second match, the Hawkeyes defeated the Big Reds 51-21. Senior Cody Maatman reflected on the wins, “We had some key pins that provided our points in the first match. Overall, we have some things we still need to work on but we’ll continue to improve moving forward.”

Double winners for Hamilton were Jordan Dams, Wolfgang Hills, Trevor Blood, Devin Christian, Connor DeJonge, and Seth Buresh.
The Hawkeyes next match comes on the road Wednesday as they travel to Holland for a double dual.
