Hamilton Conquers UC in A Low Scoring Contest

Last Thursday the Hamilton baseball team went back up against Unity Christian yet again in another defensive battle in the Saders’s home turf.

The end score itself starts to tell the story of the game being 4-0 favoring Hamilton. On Thursday we continued playing a low scoring, defensive game against Unity like we had earlier in the season. Hamilton managed to score however as early as the first inning, it was just one point but in a game like this it was crucial. Other than an offensive surge in the third of 3 runs by Hamilton the game was kept under lock by both team’s defense led by Doug Dekker on the mound from Hamilton. Dekker threw at a 65% strike probability managing to help Hamilton lock down the win. Meanwhile out of eight hits from the Hawkeyes offensively, we managed to capitalize on half on those bringing us to our victorious lead of 4-0.

You can next catch your Hawkeye baseball action on Tuesday, April 18th.
