HAMILTON, Mich.- The Hamilton Varsity baseball team traveled to Coldwater, Michigan this past Saturday to face Fremont, Traverse City West, and Coldwater.
The Hawkeyes opened up their tournament with a low scoring victory against Fremont with a score of 4-2. They then went on to face Traverse City West and lost their steam losing 7-1. With one game remaining in the tourney, the Hawkeyes lost their game against Coldwater giving up 9 runs without scoring making the final score 9-0.
Eric Fitzwilliams said, “We played good defense, we just have to wake up our bats.” Proving that the Hawkeyes will need to step up their offense before they go into league games. They face their latest challenge, Unity Christian, this Tuesday to have a chance at doing just that.
