Hawkeyes Swept in Doubleheader at Zeeland East

By: Mason Timmer

Hamilton, MICH – The boys baseball team lost in a doubleheader against the Chix of Zeeland East. The Hawks dropped their first game of the night 9-6. Devin Bradbury had two hits in the game along with two RBIs. Keaton Mudd also had two hits with a run and a RBI.

The Hawkeyes looked to win their second game of the night and played well defensively, behind Ben Duimstra’s solid pitching, but the bats went quiet in the second game. The boys lost a heartbreaker giving up the lone run in the bottom of the final inning.
The Hawkeyes look to take their next game as they play Zeeland East again in a single game. Come out and support the Boys as the look to take a revenge game this Thursday night.
