WHAT HAPPENED:  In the traditional rivalry trip to Holland Christian, the Hawkeyes fell to the host Maroons by a score of 105-78.  The 400 free relay team took first with a time of 4:04.75.

KEY MOMENT:  Holland Christian got off to a strong start winning the first two events (200 free medley and 200 free) and never looked back.

THEY SAID IT: ¨The team as a whole did not reach their potential, very few girls got their best times. Many had maintained a consistent time. The effort level was lower than usual, so hopefully next week we can comeback with a high effort level.¨ – Grace Ludema, Sophomore

KEY PLAYERS:  Tessa Blankenship took a first and third place finish to help the Hawkeyes.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN: It was certainly a measuring stick for the Hawkeyes as they set their aim on the MHSAA state meet.
